After a long time personal struggle with substance use, I returned to school and spent eight years as an addictions counselor. I reached a point in my life where I felt I was once again stagnating, and I began to seek another method of self-expression. I have always enjoyed writing, but it has not been until more recently that I have made the decision to try and take it in a serious direction.
