Hi guys! Welcome! My name is April. I have started this blog so that I can share my homemade creations and passions with all of you. I've always been a creative person. I love cooking, baking, and making things by hand. I have a hard time buying things when I know I can make them myself. I try to find pleasure in simple things, and hope to inspire some of you to do the same. I was born in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado, but raised on the beaches of California. I will forever have a love for the mountains and snow in my heart. I love cold, sweater-wearing weather. I dislike immensely (my 5th grade teacher wouldn't let us use the word "hate," but made us use "dislike immensely" instead) hot weather, it makes me a very grumpy person. Orange has been my favorite color my entire life. One time when I was about 5 years old I colored Grover orange in my cousin's Sesame Street coloring book. She got so mad at me for my non-traditional-Grover-color choice. I have been married to my absolute best friend for almost 5 years and cherish every second of it. We have a Yorkie named Einstein who has a large personality packed into his 6.2 lb body. I absolutely love the smell of orange blossoms! Sometimes I think I am a 90 year old trapped in a 30-somethings body. I love to knit while I watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. I'm not a fan of staying out late.
