I have almost 30 years of environmental and cultural resources experience, over 10 of which have been focused on prehistoric and historic archaeological investigations in the Southwest, Great Basin, and Plains culture areas and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)-compliant documentation. I have served as crew chief on survey, testing, data recovery, and monitoring projects. In addition I have worked in labs doing research analyst of Historic and Prehistoric artifacts, in the field Historic and Prehistoric Archaeologist, Historic Preservationist, and Historic consultant for various fields. Currently I research, analyzes and author historic project reports and compliant documentation, as well as conduct cultural resources surveys, research and evaluation. My technical specialty is archaeology and historic preservation. My archaeological experience includes survey, monitoring, testing, and data recovery, as well as research, data analysis, laboratory analysis, technical writing, site rehabilitation and preservation. My historic preservation experience includes preparing Section 106 consultation including Programmatic Agreements/Memorandum of Agreements and cultural resources and 4(f) sections of NEPA documents, culminating in cultural resource clearances for environmental documents. I have also conducted Section 106 consultation with local governments, county, state and federal agencies and all of the tribes in Arizona and portions of southern Utah, Colorado, Nevada and northern New Mexico. I meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines Professional Qualifications not only as an archaeologist but also as a historic preservationist. In addition, I have five years of experience, teaching history and forensics, and three years in field forensics. I am proficient in the use of GPS, cartography, 3-D Crime Scene Mapping, public speaking, photography and forensic art.
