I am Diana Băilă, an Associate Professor and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest. My areas of expertise include advanced manufacturing, additive manufacturing, sustainable development, and industrial design. With a strong academic and research background, I have actively contributed to the development and implementation of innovative technologies in both industrial and medical applications. Throughout my career, I have led and participated in numerous international research projects, including Erasmus+ and EEA Grants, collaborating with prestigious universities, research institutions, and industry partners across Europe. Notably, I serve as the coordinator of AMAZE, a European initiative dedicated to additive manufacturing in industrial design within the Ukrainian context, fostering technological innovation and academic cooperation on an international scale. Throughout my career, I have led and participated in numerous international research projects, including Erasmus+ and EEA Grants, collaborating with prestigious universities, research institutions, and industry partners across Europe. Notably, I serve as the coordinator of AMAZE, a European initiative dedicated to additive manufacturing in industrial design within the Ukrainian context, fostering technological innovation and academic cooperation on an international scale. My research contributions are reflected in over 60 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact scientific journals and international conferences, as well as multiple books on additive manufacturing, biomaterials, and industrial production technologies. I have also been responsible for research projects focused on developing new biocompatible materials for medical applications and advancing additive manufacturing techniques. In addition to my academic and research endeavors, I am committed to knowledge transfer and industry collaboration, ensuring that cutting-edge technologies are effectively integrated into real-world applications. My work aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, drive innovation in advanced manufacturing and sustainable production, and mentor the next generation of engineers and researchers.
