Jiten Mehta is a Maryland-based accountant with more than three decades of experience in tax preparation, financial reporting, and client advisement. He earned his law degree from the Government Law College in Mumbai and also qualified as a Chartered Accountant through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. In 2001, he worked at Allstate Insurance for a year, focusing on insurance policies and client advisement. In 2006, he joined H&R Block, where he remained for eight years. There, he assisted individuals and businesses with federal and state tax filings, handling both annual compliance and long-term planning. Since 2012, he has been managing My Tax Accounting & Business Service, LLC. His responsibilities include payroll processing, tax planning, monthly reviews, quarterly reports, and audit documentation. His clients range from sole proprietors to established corporations. Many of his client relationships have lasted for decades, reflecting his steady support. The firm also provides services such as past-tax resolution, nonprofit setup, business formation, and section 8 validation. He continues to be registered with the Maryland Board of Public Accountancy and keeps pace with updates to tax codes and accounting practices.
