Besides assisting my 86 year old Mother with her daily activities, commuting regularly to the Pacific Northwest to enjoy the company of my daughter, son-in-law and new grandson, maintaining two aging houses, two past-their-prime automobiles, one waaaaaayyyyy past-its-prime pick up truck and one dilapidated RV, fronting a rag-tag musical trio known as Mom's Chili Boys and tending a lifetime conspiracy of "hobbies" I'm having a fine time rubbing elbows with The Friends of the Lower Calaveras River...and napping whenever the mood strikes. After leaving the keys on the desk following 33 years in public education I was looking for a worthwhile community service project. I always kind of hoped it might be something related to my early training in zoology, botany and entomology while combining my lifelong interests in natural history, art and photography. FLCR seems the perfect match for my interests and skills. Another co-conspirator after my time, energy and attention. Bring it on!
