Course: BA Broadcast Communication Favorite Book: As of now, the book closest to my heart is Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I'm really, really fond of this book because I love stories that come from vintage periods of time. This book is a very entertaining and relatable read for me because I find Elizabeth a strong and intelligent woman, who stands by her own choices, who does not let her mother marry her off to some rich nobleman without her decision. And of course, I love Mr. Darcy. Favorite Film: I haven't found my film of all time, but I do like the Joe Wright's adaptation of Pride and Prejudice (2005). This adaptation hits me right in the heart. I came to love and appreciate the actors and actresses in this film because of how on point they were with the characters (in my head). I watch this film every time I want to forget something or when I want to leave reality. The Breakfast Club is on the same tier because IT IS JUST TIMELESS. It never fails to amaze me how the movie breaks the stereotypes and humanizes the characters and make them feel real. (The song at the end is really the best, too. Don't You [Forget About Me] by Simple Minds.) Also, Judd Nelson. Favorite Media Practitioner: I don't have a fave of all time yet. But I do admire Wes Anderson for his filmmaking. His ability to pull off symmetrical shots in every movie that he's done is really amazing. Favorite Artist: I've become a recent fan of the band Walk the Moon. But I think I was a fan years ago and I just didn't know it. A friend played their song Anna Sun on Youtube years ago and it has never left my head since then. After stumbling over a few bands that I thought I liked, I realized I love the music they (Walk the Moon) produce. They're unlike anything I've heard before. They sing great on live! Years & Years comes next because I love listening to their music, lyrics and the voice of Olly Alexander. Favorite Meal: I eat anything except for meals with eggplant or okra. I do prefer buffets over just one meal...
