In many ways, soccer has shaped who I am today. As a competitive athlete, I trained very seriously, and loved every minute of it. For me, it never felt like a burden or a chore to get out and put in the extra effort running, lifting, practicing, or training. The extra time I spent in the gym or on the field helped bring my game to the next level, and I really loved seeing and feeling the fruits of my efforts. I have a passion to help players reach their athletic potential, and I want to turn that passion into a profession. I also have a passion to make sure that young players are training properly and wisely, with injury-prevention in mind. Kids are playing more often, at a higher level, and specializing way earlier than I ever did. Having to rehab 3 ACL tears has given me a huge appreciation for prehab exercises to build stability, flexibility, agility and core strength. With the pain and frustration I've gone through with my knees, I want to do my best to help others avoid the same injuries. In my development as an athlete, I’ve become a good communicator, teammate, leader and friend. I’ve experienced the meaning of hard work, sacrifice, dedication and perseverance. These skills and lessons are more important than any success I’ve had on the field. While not everyone will be a collegiate or professional athlete, there are countless life lessons that come from team sports that help build character and lead athletes into healthy and balanced lives. I aspire to be a dedicated, professional, and inspirational trainer that helps young athletes achieve their goals. In the process, I hope to help empower them to be people of integrity and strong character.
